“Toilet Cleaner Allegedly Added to Bushra Bibi’s Food on Shab e Barat”

Mashal Yousafzai, spokesperson for Bushra Bibi, wife of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder, made startling claims on Thursday, asserting that Bushra Bibi’s food on Shab e Barat, February 24, was contaminated with two to three drops of “toilet cleaner.” Yousafzai disclosed this during an interview on Geo News program “Geo Pakistan,” stating that Bushra’s health deteriorated significantly after consuming the tainted meal.

Yousafzai expressed concern over Bushra’s declining health since her arrest, highlighting that she previously had no health issues like blood pressure or diabetes. She raised questions about the delay in conducting Bushra’s medical tests despite court directives over three weeks.

Despite court orders, Yousafzai claimed that authorities prevented Bushra Bibi from undergoing essential medical tests, including a blood test, which could potentially detect any presence of poison in her bloodstream.

Yousafzai recounted an incident where Bushra experienced chest pain and left arm discomfort. Despite the urgency, she stated that it took considerable time for the jail doctor to inform the authorities and arrange for a check-up from Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).

Emphasizing the disparity between Bushra’s situation and that of other politicians like former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Yousafzai suggested that Bushra Bibi is being targeted because of her relationship with the PTI founder.

In response to these allegations, a comprehensive medical evaluation was conducted under the supervision of Khan’s family physician, with a private hospital declaring Bushra Bibi to be in good health. Despite undergoing several diagnostic tests, including an endoscopy, Bushra Bibi refused to provide a blood sample for testing, with doctors attributing her health issues to a minor gastric problem.
