Iranian journalist stabbed in London continues work, displaying resilience: ‘Show must go on’.

Iranian journalist Pouria Zeraati, stabbed outside his London home, resumes work, resiliently stating, “the show must go on.” Despite the attack, Zeraati returned to his role as a presenter for Iran International, emphasizing his commitment to continuing his work. The incident, which occurred on March 29, left Zeraati with leg wounds requiring hospital treatment. Reflecting on the attack, Zeraati described it as a “warning shot,” acknowledging that the assailants could have inflicted more harm. London’s Metropolitan Police are investigating the incident, considering whether Zeraati’s occupation as a journalist prompted the assault. Meanwhile, Iran’s charge d’affaires in the U.K. has denied any link between Tehran and the attack. The incident adds to previous disruptions by authorities concerning perceived threats from Iran against individuals in the U.K. The U.K. government has taken a firm stance against Iran, unveiling sanctions over alleged human rights violations and hostile actions against opponents on British soil.
